Uchida Hospital is "Together with the community. For you. and is a provider of inpatient care for the elderly in the local community, as well as for acute-care hospitals and long-term care welfare facilities in the neighborhood. The environment surrounding patients is becoming more and more severe day by day, as the declining birthrate and aging population accelerate and the number of patients with dementia increases. Despite these circumstances, we provide nursing and care services that enable each patient to recover in his or her own way and with a sense of vitality. In 2010, we opened the Center for Dementia Diseases, and for more than 20 years we have been focusing on providing nursing and care with zero physical restraints for patients with dementia.
Ward 2 (Disability, general, and community comprehensive care beds) 49 beds
This ward is responsible for chronic emergency medical care. Patients with severe disabilities and neurological intractable diseases are treated and recuperated in the general ward. Doctors, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, care concierges, and social workers work together with the goal of maintaining ADL (activities of daily living) and improving QOL (quality of life), with the aim of discharging patients home after completing acute stage treatment, and provide nursing care that respects patients' wishes and allows them to live their own lives. We provide nursing and care services to enable patients to live their lives in their own way, respecting their wishes.
3rd floor ward (recovery phase rehabilitation ward) 50 beds
This ward provides intensive rehabilitation after surgery or treatment in acute phase hospitals for cerebrovascular disorders or bone fractures. It aims to prevent bedridden patients from becoming bedridden and to help them return to society and their homes by restoring their functions and improving the movements necessary for daily life. Doctors, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, care concierges, and social workers work together to provide nursing and care to enable patients to live their own lives, respecting their wishes.
